Sober Curious Series: Family Friendly No-Alcohol Eggnog Recipe

Christmas is a time for celebrating with family and friends, which many of us look forward to all year round. With more opportunities for entertaining and much-welcomed time to spend relaxing with loved ones, the festive season can also lead to drinking more alcohol than usual. Why not make our family-friendly no-alcohol mulled apple cider to enjoy together? This recipe not only tastes delicious, it's quick and easy to make and will have your home smelling like Christmas!

No-alcohol Eggnog

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for serving

Method:

  • In a large pot, simmer the milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract over a low heat. Once boiled, remove from the heat.
  • In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar together until thick.
  • Slowly whisk in the milk and continue to mix until the mixture is combined and smooth.
  • Add the heavy cream to the mixture and refrigerate until chilled.
  • When it's time to serve, add the garnish of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
