Anne Carrigy, RGN, H.Dip Healthcare Risk Management, M.MED.SC (Nursing), has held a number of nursing and leadership roles in the healthcare sector.
She retired as National Lead of Acute Hospital Services, Health Service Executive (HSE) in December 2010 and was appointed to the Board of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) in February 2013.
In 2004/2005, Anne was seconded from her post as Director of Nursing, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital to the interim HSE as a member of the Change Management Team. From 2008 to 2010 she was Director, Serious Incident Management Team, HSE.
In 2010, Anne was elected as the President of FEPI (European Federation of Nurses) and adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Nursing Studies in UCD. In 2011, she was appointed to Ordinary Membership of the Governing Body for the Letterkenny Institute of Technology. She has served as President of An Bord Altranais on two ocassions.
Throughout her career she has sat on the boards of the Medical Council, Irish Health Services Accreditation Board, European Nurse Director’s Association (E.N.D.A), National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and the Mater Foundation.
