Get Festival Fit!
At this stage you've probably got your festival schedule planned out and highlighted (or is that just us)? As any seasoned festival head will know, fail to plan and you plan to be that wet, hungry grouch your mates avoid!
If you want to get ahead of the game – here’s our top early bird tips!
- Tent Sharing – mates are great but do you really want to sleep nose to nose for three nights? Our advice - buy your own tent. Also handy if you’re planning some summer lovin’!
- Couples – buy a decent sized tent. A night under the canvas is romantic but a whole weekend with limited shower facilities isn’t.
- Festival Shopping – start buying your festival gear (the biggies – tent, rain gear, sleeping bag and wellies) bit by bit. Paying over the odds for the last pair of wellies on the shelf is not a good start to your festival experience. Check out budget supermarkets weekly deals, a great place to pick up bargain torches, tents etc.
- Check your Kit – if you’re a seasoned festival goer you might think you’re sorted. But check your sleeping bag, tent and wellies are in good shape from last year. At the very least they’ll need a good airing.
- Which Festival? –You may have your annual favourites but why not add a surf/ matchmaking/ literary festival to your calendar? Or let fate decide. Put the names of the oddest festivals you can find into a hat, pick one and go. Bizarre but possibly brilliant.
- Time to Chill? – The jury’s out on this one but a three day festival can be pretty intense. A little extra sleep pre-mosh pit will help keep that spring in your step!
We’ll be running competitions to the best gigs and festivals throughout the summer so keep checking back. Plus we’ll have some extra special surprises in store this festival season. Click here for competitions.
