DARE2BDRINKAWARE.ie Digital Film Competition 2009/10

The DARE2BDRINKAWARE.ie Digital Film Competition is back! This year the competition will be bigger and better than ever; with some new judging categories - including Best Animation and Best Documentary - added to the mix, as well as a free workshop for all entrants!

Once again, we are challenging students to show us what they think and creatively explore the relationship between Irish culture and drinking through considering the values, attitudes and behaviours that young adults have in relation to alcohol.

The competition is open to all 3rd level students over 18 years of age. We welcome entries from students of all disciplines, whether you're a film student extraordinaire, or a pure novice with something to say about booze and young people in Ireland.

As well as bagging a cash prize and meeting film royalty such as award-winning director, Lenny Abrahamson, last year’s winning team had their film screened at the Oxegen and Cinemagic festivals. The film was also shown on City Channel and will be shown on RTÉ in early November as part of the short film series.
